My little King Charles Spaniel was done with this in a week, and that’s after I took it away every day to preserve it.

These things are supposed to not splinter and be tough for heavy chewers, that is why I purchased them. I gave these to my dogs, and in less than 5 minutes they were ripping pieces/splinters off them. One even cut one of my dog’s mouth causing him to bleed. A waste of money and very disappointing purchase. They did come very promptly through amazon.

The only thing my puppy can chew on that doesn’t upset her stomach!! I will be getting more.

This small 6″ chewy (we bought the “medium” size) entertained my 20 pound dog for about 4 days, then he lost interest. In that time, he chewed off about 1″ (he’s a pretty serious 1-year-old chewer). It has a smell – a little like rancid meat. Maybe the marrow inside? It’s tucked away in his toy box and we’ll bring it out in a month or so and see if he likes it as much. Next time I would buy a bigger size so he can hold in his paws while chewing – now we have to hold it for him while he gnaws.

Ordered this for my 60 pound mutt and he loves it. We got a large one, which is still pretty small, but not too small for him. When I gave it to him he did the happiest happy dance ever. He carried it around all day and loves it. We are always concerned about the type of chew toys we get because we don’t want him to crack his teeth on heavy, weight bearing bones or get impacted from rawhides and other chews that aren’t easily digestable. Usually we buy bully sticks but he goes through those within an hour of recieving them and they are not cheap. The deer antler seems like it will last him quite awhile. He chewed on it all day yesterday and I can hardly see any damage to it at all yet. A little expensive, but I think it’s worth it.
