Definitely wouldn't recommend this for any dog that is a strong chewer. To compare, it took a little over a year for my Pit/Lab to destroy her KONG red large bone, this toy was in the trash in less than 5 minutes after taking it out of the amazon box =(

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R26FG1M1SAEYAE This is indeed a great tug toy! My smallish pit/GS/rott pup got this toy when it was almost bigger than him, and his needley teeth back then cut right through the rubber, so I used it as a fetch toy in the field at first. He seemed to love the way it curled on his nose and bounced when he ran. When he lost his baby teeth we played more tug since they wouldn't slice into it as much, and it has stood up well to being streeeeeeeeetched and chomped and tossed. I would never leave him alone to chew on it like he does his black kong or red kong ball, something about this toy makes him want to chew through it. I play with it with him and put it away when we're through, he's got his kongs out all the time. Makes it special that way. Over all, a really great toy.

This is a solid toy made of heavy rubber. It doesn't look like it could be torn apart easily. However, I have 5 dogs and unfortunately none of them will play with this toy.

We've had this toy for over a year and its still a favorite. We have 2 dogs and this is the only toy they will play with together. They've finally managed to tear out the center strands, so I'm ordering a new one. It has been very durable considering the heavy use it has gotten.

I give this 2 stars instead of one because this would be a great toy if it wasn't built so weakly. The toy was in pieces within 5 minutes. The rubber used is very soft and weak, my dog started pulling off chunks of it immediately. If there was one made from a better rubber I would buy it though as the design is interesting and it seems like it would be a fun toy.
