I’ve only tried the shirt once but it was at the onset of a thunderstorm, so I will try again with a 30-minute-before start, but I found it had no calming effect on the pup at all.

Jake loves his thundershirt. Whenever I take it out for him to wear, he dances around excitedly. It definately helps during the storms. We hope to add another thundershirt soon for Angel.

I have to admit, I was a bit hesitant when I purchased this product on the recommendation of a friend. Ten minutes after putting it on my dog, I became a believer. Not only was my dog calmer, but for the first time ever, he didn’t wake the neighborhood with his howling and barking. I don’t know how it works, but it does!!! I highly recommend this product for any dog that has a fear of thunder or other loud noises.

I purchased the Thundershirt to put on anxious or reactive dogs in my training classes or private lessons. I have found that in most dogs, as advertised it decreased their anxiety as much as 75%
I have used this product and found success on reactivity towards other dogs/people, excessive barking, and global fears. Ironically I have not yet tried it on thunderstorms but I am sure that it would be effective as well.
