Love this Li’l Pals Slicker Brush. It is the only one I use. Very gentle and well tolerated but works well. I got rid of all my other slicker brushes as they were all too big for my Mini-Poodle! You will not be disappointment. Get the double-sided comb to go with it. I highly recommend both of these products.

This perfect little wire bristled brush has a tiny bead on the end of each wire, so it won’t scratch the tenderest skin, but it really does a job on loose fur. The bristles are set in a rubbery base, so they have a lot of give and won’t get hung on a tangle. I wanted something for Pooka, who is skittish about the big hairbrush. This brush is just the right size. I like it so much I’m ordering 4 more for cat-slave friends.

This brush has little white tips, which I think are to protect the skin, but they tangle the hair and it’s almost impossible to pull the brush through my poodle’s hair because it pulls so badly. I think it might be okay for dogs with shorter hair but not for a poodle or dogs who have hair/fur like poodles. It was also very much smaller than I anticipated even though I knew it was extra small.

If you have a dog that is a little baby about being brushed, this is the slicker for you!! It has little rubber covers on those hard metal prongs that make it a more comfortable for the pup. It’s good to start a puppy out on this and leading up to the more heavy duty slickers. I have slickers that cost $35 and I find myself using this one over and over!! I have like 8 all over the place so I can brush my Cavalier’s ears.

This slicker is great. It’s small so its easy to hold and store. I used it on a shih-poo who almost fell asleep while I was brushing her. It’s gentle but gets the job done.
